Yep, it's Pinewood Derby time. Scott's dad (Grandpa D.) has had the hobby of woodworking over the last few years, so he has all the right equipment to help the boys. Scott's in the midst of busy season, so he isn't able to help the boys too much. So, Grandpa D. stepped up (thank goodness for me) and helped the boys with their cars. The boys were really excited for Grandpa to help them, and I think Grandpa was even excited, too. It was a great bonding experience for all of them. Thanks to Grandma she took some pictures for us while they were working.
Gavin is not in Cub Scouts, but they have a race at the end for all younger siblings who would like to participate. Of course, Gavin wants to participate!! Here he is hard at work with Grandpa.
