Our Own Elvis

Grant has had a project that he has been working on at school for the last couple months. He had to pick a famous person to learn all about and do several smaller projects that all came together last week for the final project... a wax museum.

He had to set up all of his work that he has done and some classes from lower grades came in to learn about some famous people. Until it was Grant's turn, he had to sit still, like a wax figure. As you can see, Grant chose Elvis Presley. It wasn't his first choice (more like his fifth choice), but it ended up working out well.

When the group came to listen to him, they had to read the sign below to activate him.

Doesn't he look cool?! We bought that wig, and, man, was it crazy!! We ended up cutting some hair off of it, then I tried to style it. Then Scott tried to style it. Scott did a pretty good job, but by the afternoon of the production, the wig wasn't looking so cool anymore. It still got the point across.

Grant is giving his memorized speech in this picture. He had to tell all about Elvis Presley. He had a 7 minute speech memorized (more than I could do), but he had to trim it down to 4 minutes. Unfortunately, Scott and I made him nervous listening to him. He isn't like Gavin. He doesn't like people watching him, whereas Gavin thrives on it. We were very proud of him, and he got an A!! Yea, Grant!!!
