Spring Break Fun!

We've had a great time over Spring Break this week. One day we went to The Children's Museum. A Star Wars Clone Wars exhibit opened recently, so Gavin was very excited to go see it. He was a little disappointed because he was hoping there would be dress-up clothing so he could pretend he was a part of the movie. Unfortunately, there were costumes there but behind enclosed glass cases. There was also artwork from the movie. It was neat, though. Here are the children with some of the characters.

Since the boys were getting their pictures taken by themselves, Gabrielle did, too.

After the Star Wars exhibit, we went to the What If... exhibit. There are lots of things in there to do with your imagination. The kids had fun dressing up as underwater creatures and scuba divers. Gavin is a shark attacking Grant, the scuba diver. Gabrielle was a dolphin (I think). They could see themselves on a TV screen. Gabrielle thought that was pretty cool!

We then went into the mummy exhibit. One fun way to get into the "pyramid" was a slide. Gabrielle and Grant loved that. We then went on to find out some interesting information about mummies and the way bodies were preserved back then.

There was a part of the exhibit where you could build with blocks. Garrison was so happy for this. He could finally get down and crawl around and play.

Gavin's awesome building! He was very proud of it.

Garrison had fun taking the blocks from his siblings' creations. They didn't enjoy it too much, though.

Gabrielle worked hard on her castle.

The last thing we did was ride the carousel. This was Garrison's first carousel ride. He did very well!

This was the first time that Gabrielle rode by herself. She has always freaked out before. After we rode, she wanted to go again. So, we did. What a fun day!!
